NGL, love the fireplace.

The fireplace is neat; I can easily imagine curling up near it in the winter. Buuuut I’m mostly reblogging for the awesome classic!Tron action figure, because awwwwwww Sam of course you’d have kept that one too.~

Oh man, these have made my day.

The Mountains.

They’re not really mine. (The park is a state park; anybody can go there.) And they’re not even the greatest “mountains,” as there are plenty of awesomer mountains out there. These are old, low, slouched-over mountains.

But this year will be my 26th year. The twenty-sixth time I’ve packed my paperbacks and my swimsuit and my sweatshirt, climbed into the car and spent my vacation in these mountains.

The first year I was a junior ranger and spent my week collecting bugs and ferns and reading Cricket magazine. I still do those things, sometimes, but somehow the weeks seem to go by so much faster, now.

Work has been crazy and the house is being painted and there’s never enough time to do all the things I want to do. But.

Tomorrow.

I’m going to the mountains.
